A statistical publication about arts and culture in the Helsinki region

City of Helsinki publishes a statistical review of arts and culture in the city at roughly 5-year intervals. The previous publications in the series have been traditional statistical reviews with an emphasis on data presented as tables and figures. For the 2014 edition the city wanted to try a different, more visual approach, and contacted us to help turn this vision into reality.

Over a period of close to a year the concept, content, and appearance of the publication was developed in close cooperation with the client. The end result is a 58-page printed publication, which was described by the jury at Finland’s premier graphic design awards, Vuoden Huiput, as “[a] superb tour de force, where design and content become one.
